Under the general direction of the Director, Physician Development for Henry Ford Health System (HFHS), this role is responsible for supporting medical staff development and group practice development initiatives for the System. Plays a key role in the development, planning, and implementation of hospital strategy to recruit and align physicians, and to enhance specific hospital/HFHS market share. Contributes directly to achieving recruitment targets as identified in the medical staff development plan.
This individual coordinates Medical Staff events and leads various internal and external projects and business initiatives, as directed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive initiatives to completion.
Success in this role requires a highly adaptable professional with the ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment. The candidate must exhibit flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, go-getter mindset, with a willingness to take initiative and respond effectively to evolving organizational needs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, Allied Health, or Marketing required.
3–5 years of progressive experience in healthcare administration; ability to work independently.
Project management experience is required
Prior management responsibility in a primary care practice preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence, negotiate, and manage sensitive situations.
Proven ability to lead meetings, deliver presentations, write complex documents, and manage long-term relationships.
Solid project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, and execution.
Knowledge of program development, budgeting, physician contracting, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and consultative skills to develop strategies, policies, and process improvements in complex environments.
