Quality Manager | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $92,000 - $139,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee all quality control activities, from incoming materials to finished product inspection.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, managing non-conformances and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Ensure products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
• Manage supplier quality programs and evaluate supplier performance.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, report on performance, and propose improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product quality.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve measurable quality enhancements.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Proven experience conducting supplier quality audits and development.
• Background in a highly regulated manufacturing sector (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
• Proficiency in implementing and optimizing Quality Management System (QMS) software.
