Quality Food Safety Team Leader

About the Opportunity

A leading, well-established food & beverage manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Food Safety Team Leader to drive excellence across plant-level food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own critical food safety programs, influence plant operations, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality products at scale.

What You'll Do

• Lead execution of the Plant Food Safety Program , including HACCP, CCPs, and regulatory compliance
• Drive CAPA investigations for food safety, environmental, and micro-related non-conformances
• Oversee environmental monitoring and microbial sampling programs
• Own and lead GMP audits, internal quality audits, and compliance programs
• Partner cross-functionally with operations to embed food safety into daily execution
• Support and prepare for FDA, USDA, AIB, and external audits
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems
• Deliver training and education to plant teams on food safety standards
• Track and report Quality KPIs to leadership

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Engineering , or related field
• 3+ years of experience in food safety within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with HACCP, GMP, CAPA, and sanitation programs
• Hands-on involvement with environmental monitoring and microbial testing
• Experience supporting or leading regulatory and internal audits

Preferred:

• Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, SQF
• Experience in CPG or high-volume food manufacturing
• Exposure to SAP or similar systems
• Background in microbiology or lab-based quality environments
