Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Assist with patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Collaborate with dentists to evaluate patients' oral health, identifying signs of potential concerns and assisting in treatment planning.
Monitor patients’ periodontal health, conducting periodontal charting and assisting in the development of treatment plans for gum disease.
Be current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and latest advancements in technologies to improve patient care

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in dental hygiene from an accredited institution
Active dental hygienist license in New York state
